Interview notes with Amy are a little disorganized and quite hard to follow - please ensure that these are well-written, correctly punctuated and make sense. You may also want to separate the Interview Questions and Answers with different colours.
Survey Monkey - where are your questions? Do you have a page for these questions set up?
Field Trip - there is no information on this page. It just says CLARE so I'm assuming that Clare is working on this but, in her absence, is there anything that the rest of the group could do to help out? Has Clare kept you in the loop with regular emails? Where do you plan on going? What do plan on doing there? What do hope to gain from this field trip? Even if you haven't confirmed these details yet, you can still add information about what you intend to do!
Mentor meetings - dates please for each meeting with Mr Birch rather than Mentor Meeting 1, Mentor Meeting 2 etc. Please type up your notes from today's meeting and explain your next steps that you will take before meeting again.
PLEASE CHECK THROUGH ALL OF YOUR PAGES AND ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE SPELT EVERYTHING CORRECTLY. IN ADDITION TO THIS, IS EVERYTHING GRAMMATICALLY CORRECT AND IS THE PUNCTUATION ACCURATE?
New Jobs to think about:
Video and responses to interview with Amy need to be uploaded and put into appropriate page.
Is all your research up top date, referenced and specific words and phrases highlighted?
Where is your survey? When are you going to send it out to high school students and teachers at HKA?
Are you going to conduct any other primary research of your own? e.g. data collection. If so, where, when, what, why, who, how?
What about an investigation that shows the dangers of smoking? You can use a secondary source from the internet for inspiration if you wish. Mr Birch might also be able to able to help you set up an experiment. Have you chatted with him about this? He is a fantastic source of information to tap in to?
Home Page
Good job with the video of the 22 chemicals in a cigarette!
Who are you? Have you appropriately welcomed people to your page? Why not?
Research
Some evidence of good research present on your existing Wiki - well done.
Remember that you need to reference your facts with webliographies!
Each person researching needs to have at least 2 sources referenced!
Some questions to consider for next time:
1. What chemicals are found in a cigarette? Write some of the major ones down please.
2. Why do young people take up smoking and how can we deter them from picking up such a habit?
3. Where does tobacco come from?
4. What are the smoking LAWS?
Mentor Letter
Good job with the letter to A.B - well done. He will be a fantastic mentor for your group but make sure you keep in constant contact with him and always make a note of appointments. Remember to be on time for your appointments.
Have you scheduled an appointment to meet Mr Birch? If so, reflect and write about what your focus is before the next meeting. If not, DO SO.
Mission Statement
Check your MS. Surely, you want to encourage existing smokers to quit, as well as inform young people of the risks and side effects - therefore encouraging them not to start in the first place.
Your Group
Has everybody contributed equally to this group? I seem to recall Nils looking at a fantastic video of an experiment showing us the build up of tar from smoking 400 cigarettes. Is this link on your research page. If not, why not?
Keep up the hard work.
